Cortex is developed by Valentino Marchesini. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Cortex is designed with privacy as a core principle. All behavioral data (impulse counts, scores, streaks, and usage patterns) is stored locally on your device. We use Firebase for crash reporting and anonymous usage analytics only — no personal data is collected or shared.
Cortex uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to monitor and manage app usage. App selection tokens are opaque and anonymized by Apple. Cortex cannot see the names or identifiers of the apps you select. This data remains on your device.
The App uses Firebase for basic crash reporting and anonymous analytics to improve app quality. No personally identifiable information is collected through these services.
Cortex Pro subscriptions are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
All user data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and UserDefaults. No data is synced to cloud servers.
Cortex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
